A Brief History

The history of Opium dates back to 3,400 BC when the cultivation of the poppy seed was seen in lower Mesopotamia in Southwest Asia. It was given the name of ‘Hul Gil’ or ‘Joy plant’ by the Sumerians.

About Us

Our mission is to educate the masses about the causes and consequences of opium usage and addiction. We want to go further applying this knowledge to help people to improve individual as well as public health.

Interesting Facts

About 12% of the opium latex contains alkaloid morphine that is chemically treated to produce heroin and other synthetic medicinal drugs and opioids.

Britain waged a couple of wars known as the Opium Wars against the Qing Dynasty in China between 1839 and 1860.

In 1860 the British joined by the French forces entered the city of Beijing and burning down the Summer Palace.
