Interested in growing poppies, but don't know where to start? Nigrums are an easy grow for the novice gardener!

Each Seed Starter Packet contains three grams of Papaver Somniferum v. Nigrum (Opium Poppy) seeds. Nigrums are perfect for the beginner and easy to grow indoors or out. These white and purple Opium Poppies produce whimsical, often peony-like flowers that mature to medium-sized pods of decent yield.

The pods are excellent for creating dried flower arrangements, and the seeds taken from the pod can be used in both baking and middle-eastern cooking. Beautify your garden, and discover the fun of growing poppies, right in your own backyard!

This glabrum variety of Opium Poppy is the fastest-growing strain, and is ideal for indoor growing because of its smaller size. Persian Whites do not spend much time in the so-called "cabbage stage", and under ideal conditions can mature to pod in as little as eight to ten weeks.

Persian Whites are also prized for their excellent quality pods and tasty white seeds. Combined with the high yield and small footprint that this variety offers, Persian Whites are a perennial favourite (no pun intended!) of many a poppy grower.

Persian White Opium Poppies produce gorgeous white flowers, and are considered a "high-yield" strain. They make an excellent addition to any garden, indoors or out. Their dried pods are well-suited for crafts and dried floral arrangements.

Big and beautiful, Tazmanian poppies are one of the largest somniferum strains. Considered by many to be the "best of the best", Tazmanian poppies produce monster-sized pods that produce many seeds with each generation.

Affectionately known as "tazzies" to devoted growers, tazmanian poppies look great in any country cottage garden. Fast growing and tall, tazzies produce gorgeous pods that will always be the envy of your fellow growers.

Offering one of the highest yields of any somniferum strain, the tazzie is a real stunner. When a bumper crop is the goal, the tazmanian poppy never fails to impress!
